Tela announces several changes to Board; Pettersson to continue as chairman

The Finnish Pension Alliance (Tela) has announced that Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company CEO, Carl Pettersson, will continue as chairman of its Board of Directors, following an election at its annual general meeting.

This will be Pettersson’s second year serving as chairman of the Board of Directors.

The meeting also saw Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company CEO, Mikko Mursula, elected as the first vice chairman and a new member of the board.

Meanwhile, Keva CEO, Jaakko Kiander, was elected as second vice chairman and YLE Pension Fund managing director, Topi Piela, was elected as third vice chairman.

In addition to the appointments of the chairman and vice chairs, Veritas Pension Insurance CEO, Elina Fogelholm, was elected as a new member of the Board.

The Farmers' Social Insurance Institution of Finland (Mela) CEO, Heli Backman, whose term as a board member was up for renewal, was re-elected.

The following members will continue to serve on the Board: Kela director general, Lasse Lehtonen, Mutual Employment Pension Insurance Company Varma managing director, Risto Murto, Seafarers' Pension Fund managing director, Jari Puhakka, and Finnish Pension Funds managing director, Timo Toropainen.
