Insurance and Pension Denmark has appointed Malene Bye Rasmussen as head of EU affairs, as it strengthens its presence in Brussels.
Bye Rasmussen has considerable experience with European representation of interests in the insurance and pension area. She will begin her role on 1 January 2024.
"Our industry has experienced a veritable tsunami of new regulation from the European authorities, and the volume will only grow in the future. Over the coming years, we can see new capital and reporting requirements, requirements for sustainability reporting and many new digitalisation agendas. Therefore, it is also obvious that we strengthen our presence in everyday life in Brussels, so that we can dose our European efforts with the greatest effect,” I&P Denmark CEO, Kent Damsgaard, said.
For almost 10 years, Bye has worked for Insurance Europe, so she has in-depth knowledge of the industry seen from a European perspective and an eminent network in Brussels. She is a trained lawyer from England, where she previously also worked in insurance law.
