The Swedish Fund Selection Agency (FTN) has announced a date for the award decisions in the procurements of actively managed European and Swedish small-cap equity funds.
The decisions will be announced on Thursday 28 May 2026, with the European small-cap equity funds at CET 8:15am and the Swedish small-cap equity funds at CET 8:30am.
FTN had previously announced that the award decisions in the procurements of actively managed European and Swedish small-cap equity funds were expected during the second quarter of 2026.
The decisions will be published through the procurement platform e-Avrop and FTN’s website.
Notice of the procurement of the two types of funds was announced in April 2025, with the procurement covering approximately SEK 46bn and expected to affect around 334,000 premium pension savers.
At that time, 14 actively managed Swedish small-cap funds, with a capital of around SEK 40bn, were listed on the fund platform, while the European small-cap category comprised five funds with approximately SEK 6bn in capital.
As part of the plans, the FTN is expected to procure 10 Swedish small-cap funds and four European small-cap funds.
FTN is currently locked in a legal battle with Indecap Fonder AB over FTN’s procurement of actively managed global equity funds, which has paused the process.
The Administrative Court in Stockholm has given FTN until 20 May 2026 to respond to new arguments submitted by Indecap Fonder AB, after a judicial review paused the global equity fund procurement process due to a non-successful bidder requesting a court review.
