PMT makes several changes to management and board

The Dutch pension fund PMT, for workers in the metal and engineering sector, had made several changes to its management and supervisory board.

Roelf van der Ploeg has been appointed as a board member with a remit to represent employees, while board members Eunice Bronswijk-Pais and Jacqie van Stigt have left their positions. In addition, Evalinde Eelens has been appointed to the supervisory board.

Van der Ploeg has extensive experience in the pension sector, with administrative experience at PWRI and VLEP, among others, and as a pension policy adviser at the Algemene Onderwijsbond (General Education Union). He also has extensive knowledge and experience of pension law, governance and communication.

“We are delighted to welcome Roelf, who will further strengthen our board with his pension expertise and experience in areas such as communication. This is extremely valuable, particularly in view of the introduction of the new pension scheme and the future,” PMT chair Mieke van Veldhuizen, said.

Eelens is an experienced director and supervisor with a focus on the pension sector. With 20 years of experience in areas including asset management and financial risk management, she brings a wealth of expertise to the board.

PMT board chair, Ernst Jan Boers, said: “With Evalinde joining us, we are adding valuable knowledge and experience to our board. Her involvement in and knowledge of the pension sector, governance, investing, and ESG align well with our focus for the coming years.

“With Evalinde joining us, we are filling the position that Anita Joosten held for the past two terms. We have thus bid farewell to a committed and knowledgeable member of our board. We thank Anita for her valuable contribution and pleasant cooperation.”
