Nordea announces several senior appointments

Nordea has announced that Nordea Liv's current CEO, Anders Granstad, has been appointed as head of personal banking in Norway, effective 1 December.

Granstad joined Nordea in 2010 and has a broad background in banking, pensions and insurance.

Nordea confirmed that the process of recruiting a new Nordea Liv CEO has started following Granstad’s departure from the role.

Commenting on the appointment, Nordea head of personal banking and a member of Nordea’s Corporate Executive Committee, Per Långsved, said: “With Anders as the new head of personal banking in Norway, our ambition is clear: to continue to grow in Norway.

“Anders is an experienced leader with a focus on growth and good customer experiences. With good knowledge of the Norwegian market and our customers, as well as broad experience from Nordea, he is well placed to build on what we have already achieved.”

In addition to this, Marte Kopperstad will take on the role of country manager and retain her role as head of private banking in Norway.

In her new role, she will be responsible for coordination between Nordea's business areas in the Norwegian market.

Nordea CEO, Frank Vang-Jensen, commented: “I am pleased that Marte is taking on the role of country manager at the same time as she continues as head of private banking in Norway. She is a strategic leader with solid execution skills and strong drive.”

Finally, Randi Marjamaa will take up the role of deputy head of business banking Nordic and will become a member of the Corporate Executive Committee on 1 December.
