Netherlands’ Huisarts & Pensioen appoints Catrien Brinkman as NED

The Dutch pension fund, Huisarts & Pensioen, for general practitioners (GPs), has appointed Catrien Brinkman as non-executive director (NED), replacing Christine Lindeboom, who is stepping down from the role.

Brinkman has been working as a GP in Meppel for over 10 years, where she runs her own practice. She began her new role at Huisarts & Pensioen on 1 April 2026.

Commenting on her appointment, Brinkman said: “I am delighted that, following an induction period and thorough training at SPO (the pension sector training provider), I can now take up the role of NED.

“Over the past few months, I have seen that the pension fund is managed professionally and by, for and with GPs. I am very much looking forward to contributing to this.”

Meanwhile, Lindeboom is stepping down after 11 years of serving as a NED at Huisarts & Pensioen.

Commenting on her departure, Lindeboom said: “I'm going to miss my work for the fund. It is a great fund with many highly skilled and committed people who are deeply dedicated to GPs’ pensions. I have every confidence that Catrien Brinkman, together with the rest of the board, will continue to contribute to this cause.”

The fund thanked Lindeboom for her “tireless dedication and commitment” and wished her “all the best” in her next step.
