Iceland’s Stapi Pension Fund elects board of directors

Iceland's Stapi Pension Fund has announced the results of the election of its board of directors, following its annual general meeting (AGM).

Björn Snæbjörnsson was appointed as chairman of the board and will represent employees, while Elsa Björg Pétursdóttir was elected as vice chairman and will represent employers.

The other board members who will represent employees are Guðný Hrund Karlsdóttir, Sigríður Dóra Sverrisdóttir and Þórarinn Sverrisson.

The alternates elected on behalf of employees are Gunnhildur Imsland and Heimir Kristinsson.

Additionally, the other board members who will represent employers are Elín Hjálmsdóttir, Kristinn Kristófersson and Tryggvi Þór Haraldsson.

Meanwhile, the alternates elected on behalf of the employers are Guðrún Ingólfsdóttir and Páll Snorrason.

At the meeting, the board of directors proposed that KPMG ehf. will become the fund's auditing firm in 2025, and Ragna Hrund Hjartadóttir will be an external member of the audit committee.

Both of these proposals were approved unanimously.

The committee on board salaries were also approved unanimously, which consists of Anna María Kristinsdóttir, Geir Kristinn Aðalsteinsson and Ósk Helgadóttir, in addition to the chairman of the board of Stapi, Björn Snæbjörnsson.

The board of directors for the fund were elected at a meeting of the fund's council of representatives on 15 April.
