Iceland’s Lífeyrissjóðs Bankamanna announces multiple board appointments

Iceland’s Lífeyrissjóðs Bankamanna, the Banker’s Pension Fund, has announced the results of its electronic elections for its Board of Directors, with three individuals elected to the main board and three individuals elected as alternates.

The elections took place between 20 and 26 May and were announced at the fund’s annual general meeting.

Hinrik Greipsson was elected as the chairman of the meeting and Pálmi Rögnvaldsson was elected as the secretary of the meeting.

The three individuals elected to the main Board of Directors were Steinunn Anna Hannesdóttir, Jón Fannar Guðmundsson, and Ari Skúlason.

Meanwhile, Sindri Reynisson was elected as first alternate, Ólafur Örn Ingólfsson as second alternate, and Helga Jónsdóttir as third alternate.

The meeting also saw the chairman of the Board, Sigurður Kári Tryggvason, present the board's report and review the main aspects of the fund's activities over the past year.

Additionally, the fund’s managing director, Tryggvi Tryggvason, presented the 2025 annual accounts and the investment policies of both sections of the pension fund and the fund's actuary, Bjarni Guðmundsson, reviewed the actuarial position of both sections of the fund.

The fund's auditors were elected as Helga Jónsdóttir and Sigurjón Gunnarsson.
