The Irish Institute of Pensions Management (IIPM) has announced that Tanya Grimes has been nominated as vice president, and Robert O'Dwyer has been appointed deputy secretary.
The Executive Committee appointments follow IIPM’s Council meeting on 28 May.
Grimes takes over as vice president from Davin Spollen, who has stepped down from the role but will continue to serve as a council member.
The organisation sincerely thanked Spollen for his contribution and commitment to the IIPM, both during his time as president and more recently as vice president.
Grimes is a highly experienced pension professional who has worked with Zurich Life since 1998 and served on the IIPM Council since 2022. Meanwhile, O'Dwyer has spent over a decade as a senior retirement consultant at Aon and brings pension consulting experience to his new role.
The IIPM also wished Grimes and O'Dwyer the “very best in their new roles” and said it looks forward to the continued support and leadership of its Council as it works to advance excellence in Ireland’s pensions profession.
