FRR announces €35m investment in tech fund

France’s Fonds de Réserve pour les Retraites (FRR) has announced it will invest €35m into the Isai Expansion III Fund, a tech growth and buyout fund.

The Isai, which is closing its third round of funding at its €300m hard cap, is dedicated to financing profitable, high-growth tech SMEs and mid-cap companies.

The FRR's investment joins those of the EIF, Bpifrance, banks, insurers, family offices, and tech entrepreneurs supporting the fund.

The FRR said this latest investment was part of its strategy to support the development of French asset management companies and to support growing French tech companies.

In March, it announced it was investing €20m in the Fonds Stratégique des Transitions (FST) fund, managed by ISALT, to support the growth of an innovative, low-carbon French industry.
