Dutch pension provider PGGM has appointed Ernst Jansen as chief transformation officer (CTO) at PGGM Asset Management.
Jansen will take up his new role on 1 September and succeeds Erik van de Brake, who held the position for four years between 1 April 2022 and 1 May 2026.
Jansen joins PGGM from Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management, where he has served as chief operating officer and statutory director since 2020. Before that, he had held various management positions at Van Lanschot Kempen over the past 20 years.
In his new role, Jansen will be responsible for the digital transformation of PGGM Asset Management and the operational and administrative management of the invested assets, including the necessary IT support. He will also join the statutory management board of PGGM Asset Management.
Commenting on the appointment, PGGM Asset Management CEO Geraldine Leegwater said that, with Jansen’s experience, he will be able to make an important contribution to the continued development of PGGM Asset Management.
Adding to this, Jansen commented: "I am happy to use my expertise and experience for the further transformation of PGGM Asset Management. I look forward to working with the organisation to continue to build a future-proof asset manager with social impact for the participants of Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn (PFZW)."
PGGM Asset Management was formed in 2025 around the new asset management strategy that PGGM developed together with PFZW.
