Alecta appoints Malin Ejderberg as head of the product and analysis department

Swedish pension provider Alecta has appointed Malin Ejderberg as head of the product and analysis department, effective 1 July.

She succeeds Fredrik Palm, who will become Sweden's SPK CEO.

Ejderberg has served as head of the product and partners group in the Product and Analysis department at Alecta since 2018. Before this, she held a similar role at KPA Pension and served as a consultant in the occupational pension field.

Commenting on the news, Alecta CEO, Peder Hasslev, said: "Fredrik has done an excellent job at Alecta, including further developing Alecta's product Alecta Optimal Pension, the non-choice alternative for ITP salaried employees' defined contribution pensions.

“He has also been instrumental in the work of gradually adapting Alecta's consolidation policy in line with an ageing ITP 2 portfolio. We wish him all the best.

“We will miss him, but at the same time we are delighted that, in Malin Ejderberg, we have an internal successor who possesses a high level of expertise and extensive experience in the product area and at Alecta.”

Ejderberg added that she is “very pleased” to play a part in this new role and continue developing Alecta’s products for the benefit of its customers.
