Veritas appoints new board members for 2026 term

Finnish earnings-related pension provider Veritas has confirmed the composition of its board of directors for the 2026 term, following elections held by its supervisory board at a meeting on 18 November.

This includes the appointment of two new members, who will join the board for 2026: Oy Ahola Group Ab CEO, Ida Saavalainen, and Stiftelsen Eschnerska Frilasarettet sr CEO, Jukka Sjösten.

The board, comprising 12 members, is responsible for overseeing Veritas’ strategic direction, investment planning, internal controls and risk management, and for ensuring the company is run in line with sound business principles.

It also convenes the firm’s general meeting and monitors the organisation of Veritas’ operations.

Under Veritas’ governance rules, at least one-sixth of board members are elected from candidates proposed by employers’ central organisations and at least one-third from those proposed by employees’ central organisations.

The board will elect its chair and vice-chair at its first meeting of the year, and the new term of office will run from 1 January to 31 December 2026.
