Tela appoints Mikael Kulikoff as director

The Finnish Pension Alliance (Tela) has appointed Mikael Kulikoff as director, with effect from 1 November 2024.

Kulikoff, who has worked for Tela as development manager since 2009, will be responsible for Tela's finance, administration and development. He will also continue to be responsible for the IT oversight of the industry and related cooperation with Tela members and other stakeholders.

He will report to Tela CEO, Suvi-Anne Siimes, and will also become part of the CEO's staff.

“Mr Kulikoff's appointment as director will strengthen and streamline Tela's governance. The appointment will also strengthen the implementation of our strategy adopted in 2023 and the related development of our operations," Siimes said.

In addition, statistics and analyses of investment activities in the occupational pension sector and the maintenance of Tela's statistical database have been transferred to chief economist, Mikko Mäkinen.

He is also involved in investment-related cooperation with Tela members and other stakeholders.

Mäkinen will also remain responsible for issues related to the funding and sustainability of the pension system, the pension system as part of public finances and the related advocacy work. With the change, Mäkinen has become part of Tela's analytical functions.
