Tela appoints Elo's Carl Pettersson as board chair

The Finnish Pension Alliance (Tela) has appointed Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company CEO, Carl Pettersson, as chairman of its board of directors at its annual general meeting (AGM).

The AGM also elected Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company CEO, Jouko Pölönen, as first vice chairman, Keva CEO, Jaakko Kiander, as second vice chairman and Yleisradio Pension Fund CEO, Topi Piela, as third vice chairman.

Additionally, Kela director general, Outi Antila, was elected as a new board member.

Meanwhile, the following individuals will continue as board members: 
Farmers’ Social Insurance Institution Mela CEO, Heli Backman; Veritas Pension Insurance CEO, Carl Haglund; Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company CEO, Risto Murto; Seafarers’ Pension Fund managing director, Jari Puhakka; Finnish Pension Funds managing director, Timo Toropainen.
