Sweden’s FTN announces procurement plan for 2027

The Swedish Fund Selection Agency (FTN) has announced the fund categories it plans to procure next year for the premium pension fund platform.

The plan includes four fund categories: active emerging markets equity funds of SEK 15bn; passive emerging markets equity funds of SEK 9bn; active Swedish long-term bond fixed income funds of SEK 11bn; and active balanced mixed funds, including equivalent target-date funds, of SEK 60bn–SEK 440bn.

Its emerging market funds procurements are expected to be announced in the first quarter of 2027, while the procurement of Swedish long-term bond funds is planned for the second quarter of the year.

The procurements of mixed funds will be carried out as three parallel procurements, with each focused on funds with different risk profiles.

Ahead of the procurements, all relevant funds on the fund platform will be placed into one of the three mixed fund categories: cautious, balanced, and aggressive.

Preliminary procurement specifications will be published ahead of the notice for each procurement.
