SBB Pension Fund appoints Melih Cirit as head of insurance

Switzerland’s SBB Pension Fund, the fund of the Swiss Railways SBB, has appointed Melih Cirit as head of insurance and as a member of the executive board.

Cirit is a Swiss Association of Actuaries (SAV) actuary and spent the past few years working as an actuary and head of insurance technology at Publica.

He studied mathematics and statistics at the University of Bern and completed a diploma of advanced studies in pension fund management at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Cirit replaces Christoph Ryter, who is retiring after many years as head of insurance.

The fund welcomed Cirit and said it is “looking forward” to working with him.
