PensionsEurope has announced that Sibylle Reichert has been appointed as its next secretary general, effective from 1 January 2027.
Reichert will join PensionsEurope on 2 November 2026 to succeed Matti Leppälä, who is retiring after 15 years of service.
Reichert brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the role, with her career spanning senior management roles across pensions and healthcare policy and advocacy.
Since 2019, she has served as executive director of the International Association of Mutual Benefit Societies (AIM).
Prior to this, Reichert was head of the Brussels office of the Dutch Federation of Pension Funds between 2009 and 2019, and served as a director at AEIP.
She also served on the board of AEIP and as a member of EIOPA’s Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group.
"Sibylle brings an exceptional combination of strategic leadership, deep European policy expertise and first-hand knowledge of occupational pensions,” commented PensionsEurope chairperson, Klaus Stiefermann.
“Her experience, strong European network and proven ability to build bridges across countries and sectors will be a valuable asset to PensionsEurope as we continue to strengthen our voice."
