PensionsEurope has announced the appointment of Andreea Lungu as its new policy adviser.
In her role, Lungu will support the development, analysis and implementation of the association’s policy strategies, with a particular focus on sustainable finance and other priority areas.
Members of PensionsEurope are currently split over proposed reforms to the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), with some pushing to embrace categorisation as a tool for transparency and others warning it could lead to high compliance costs.
Lungo will also contribute to evidence-based recommendations and strengthen PensionsEurope’s engagement with key stakeholders at EU level.
Lungu brings extensive experience in European public policy and regulatory affairs.
She previously worked for the European Savings and Retail Banking Group, the European Banking Authority (EBA) in Paris, and served as a European Affairs Advisor during Romania’s Presidency of the Council of the EU.
PensionsEurope said it looked forward to Lungu’s contribution to its ongoing work to promote good pensions and represent the interests of European workplace pension funds and providers.
