PFA Asset Management has announced the appointment of Irene Holmslykke as chief executive officer (CEO), with effect from 1 September 2020.
She will take on the role following the retirement of Christian Lindstrøm Lage, who, by mutual agreement, has stepped down from the role after 12 years with PFA.
Holmslykke joined PFA Asset Management in January 2019, having previously held a number of positions in the investment industry, including roles at Danske Bank and Danske Markets for over 10 years.
Since joining the company, she has been responsible for building a structure around PFA’s increased focus on unlisted investments, which PFA stated must now continue across the entire organisation.
PFA stated that the new CEO role will be focused on the management and development of PFA Asset Management, whilst investment responsibility will be further “anchored” by the investment teams.
Commenting on the move, PFA group CIO and PFA Asset Management chairman of the board, Kasper A. Lorenzen, thanked Lindstrøm Lage for the “leading role” he played in developing the entire investment area in PFA, as well as for his “talented management” over a number of years.
He continued: “I am very happy that Irene Holmslykke has accepted the job as the new CEO of PFA Asset Management. She is an incredibly strong profile with broad experience across the financial and investment area, and then she is a really skilled leader.
“She has the right competencies to lead the further development of PFA Asset Management,
Holmslykke added: “I am very proud of this new task, which I look forward to getting started on. There are many talented colleagues in PFA Asset Management who I look forward to working more closely within my new role."
