News in brief, mandates and product launches from this week

J O Hambro Capital Management has launched the JOHCM Global Opportunities Fund on 29 June. The fund will consist of a portfolio of 25 to 40 holdings, from developed and emerging markets, with equally weighted position sizes of two to four per cent.

Barings has announced it plans to launch the Baring Emerging Markets Corporate Debt Fund. The new fund will aim to maximise total return, consisting of income, capital appreciation and through the use of a currency overlay, by investing in emerging market corporate debt securities. The fund will invest at least 70 per cent of its total assets at any time in emerging market debt securities.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has announced that an institutional property fund advised by the firm has acquired 53 avenue Hoche, a 10,982 square metre office building in the 8th arrondissement which serves as the Paris headquarters of Allen & Overy LLP.
