NN Investment Partners appoints Adrie Heinsbroek as CSO

NN Investment Partners (NN IP) has appointed Adrie Heinsbroek as chief sustainability officer (CSO), as of 1 January 2021.

In this newly created role, he will advise the board on sustainability matters and challenges, and their implications for the entire organisation to help ensure NN IP remains at the forefront of responsible investing.

He will be responsible for bringing external developments that shape its operational surroundings and society, such as increased regulations and climate change, directly to the board. In addition, he will advise the board on NN IP’s own footprint and sustainability and enable the further implementation of NN IP’s RI approach into its investment strategies.

Heinsbroek joined NN IP in February 2017 as principal – responsible investment. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of sustainability and ESG integration. Prior to joining NN IP, he was head of sustainability at ING Bank in Belgium. He holds an MSc degree in Social Anthropology and Development Sociology from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and has a post-academic certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from TEMPO HEI.
