Cavendish Asset Management has launched two new UK equity funds, designed to complement its existing fund range and to appeal to more defensive investors who are seeking stable investment returns. The Cavendish UK Balanced Income Fund is a UK equity and bond income offering, and the Cavendish UK Select Fund is a UK All Companies fund focusing on FTSE 350 holdings.

Intelligent Pensions has launched 'The Drawdown Partnership' in an effort to help IFAs to meet their obligations detailed in the Retail Distribution Review (RDR). The new arrangements will see Intelligent Pensions take over the ongoing advice while existing IFAs will act as 'investment agents'. Online processing and tracking of all investment changes through to the eventual purchase of annuities or third way products will be involved.

Carmignac Gestion has listed six of its funds for commercialisation in Sweden, which the group said was a natural step in light of longstanding interest and strong client demand in the Scandinavian region. The funds are: Carmignac Investissement, Carmignac Grande Europe, Carmignac Emergent, Carmignac Commodities, Carmignac Patrimoine and Carmignac Sécurité


Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) has launched a dedicated European investment platform, Allianz Global Investors Investments Europe. The platform is designed to offer institutional and retail clients throughout Europe with customised investment solutions.

BlackRock's exchange traded fund (ETF) platform, iShares, has released an educational campaign that is designed to support new and existing users of ETFs. The Keep Evolving campaign emphasises how ETFs can enable investors to take advantage of an increased range of opportunities presented by changing markets. The launch follows recent iShares research showing that 25 per cent of Europe's professional investors are yet to use an ETF.

Deutsche Bank and Toscafund LLP have joined forces to launch a UCITS III version of the Tosca Mid Cap fund. The fund has been launched on Deutsche Bank's Platinum platform, and looks to mirror the Tosca Mid Cap Fund.

Capita Hartshead Actuarial and Consultancy Services has enlisted the help of Partnership in aiding individuals with low-value DC pension accounts to access a wider range of annuities. The arrangement will allow people with very limited pension savings to benefit from the enhanced annuity rates that are available to 'impaired' lives. Partnership is a provider of financial products for people with health and lifestyle conditions.
