MFS Investment Management appoints new managing director of UK and Ireland institutional sales

MFS Investment Management has announced the appointment of Kelly Tran as managing director of UK and Ireland institutional sales.

Tran will be responsible for driving the growth of MFS’ UK and Ireland institutional business. She will focus on promoting MFS’ broad range of fixed income and equity capabilities to UK institutions, including local governments, corporate pension funds, charities, insurance companies, fiduciary managers, and UK consultants.

With 15 years' industry experience, Tran joins from Newton Investment Management where she served as head of UK institutional sales and sustainability commercial leader. She was responsible for business development and relationship management activities in the UK institutional market. In addition to these responsibilities, she was a member of Newton Responsible Investment Strategy Group and led all the commercial aspects to successfully develop and build sustainable investment solutions to help meet clients’ needs.

Prior to this, she worked for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in London as an investor within the emerging markets team, providing custom-made investment solutions through both investment management and advisory services to ultra-high-net worth clients.
