Länsförsäkringar switches pension investment funds to more sustainable options

Swedish pension provider Länsförsäkringar is to switch up three of its pension investment funds to more sustainable options.

The changes will take effect from the end of August and affects funds within unit-linked insurance. Customers will have their capital transferred over to the new funds.

Commenting on the motive for switching the funds, AE Liv product manager, Jim Rotsman, said it was to ensure customers continue to receive as “good a pension as possible”, both based on return and sustainability.

“We evaluate and continuously review the fund offering and in addition to including new funds, we also replace funds that do not meet our requirements and expectations or if we see a higher level of sustainability and better return potential for similar funds,” he said.

The BlackRock Emerging Market Local Currency fund option will change to the BlackRock ESG Emerging Markets Bond. The JP Morgan Global Bond Opportunities and JP Morgan Global Strategic Bond will both change to the JP Morgan Global Bond Opportunities Sustainable.
