Icelandic Farmers' Pension Fund confirms results of latest board elections

The Icelandic Farmers' Pension Fund (LSB) has revealed the results of its latest board elections.

The fund has confirmed that Þorbjörg Inga Jónsdóttir had been elected to the general board, after receiving 60 per cent of the votes at the fund's annual meeting on 22 July, whilst fellow nominee, Bjartur Thorlacius, received 40 per cent of the votes.

Jónsdóttir has been appointed for a three-year term, joining the existing board of the fund: Bala Valtýsdóttir, Jóhann Már Sigurbjörnsson, Berglind Ósk Alfreðsdóttir, Einar Ófeigur Björnsson and Þorbjörg Inga Jónsdóttir.

The annual meeting also saw Jón Gunnsteinn Hjálmarsson nominated to the audit committee of the Farmers' Pension Fund.
