Keyridge Asset Management appoints Campbell Fleming as chair

Keyridge Asset Management, a new investment arm of Great-West Lifeco, has appointed Campbell Fleming as chair, effective immediately.

The asset manager was created by uniting the European investment expertise of Irish Life Investment Managers, Setanta Asset Management, and Canada Life Asset Management’s external funds business.

Fleming has extensive experience within the global asset management industry, holding leadership positions for over 30 years at investment organisations, including AssetCo, Aberdeen Standard Investments, Columbia Threadneedle Investments and JPMorgan Asset Management UK.

Furthermore, he holds positions on the boards of various financial services, private companies, and industry and charitable organisations across the UK, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia. Most recently, he served as deputy chairman at Ruffer LLP.

In his new role as chair, Fleming will provide strategic guidance and independent governance to support the company’s ambitions.

Commenting on the appointment, Great West Lifeco CEO Europe, Lindsey Rix-Broom, said that the company are “delighted” to welcome Campbell as chair.

“His extensive industry knowledge and proven leadership will be invaluable as we establish Keyridge as a leading presence in the UK and beyond. With Campbell’s insight and guidance, we are well-positioned to realise our vision for growth and client excellence,” she continued.

Adding to this, Fleming said it is a “huge privilege” to join Keyridge Asset Management as its independent chair at “such a pivotal moment for the business”.

“I look forward to working with the experienced board and excellent executive team to accelerate Keyridge’s expansion in Europe and the UK market,” he added.
