Joep Schouten steps down as PMT board member

Joep Schouten is stepping down from the board of the Netherlands’ Pensioenfonds Metaal en Techniek (PMT), with effect from 1 July.

He has served on the board for the past 12 years, during which PMT said he contributed to key policy decisions and the preparation for the transition to the new pension system.

Commenting on his departure, PMT chairs, Terry Troost and Caspar Vlaar, stated: “Joep has served PMT with great dedication. He is a committed board member who was always well prepared and meticulous in his work. With his sharp insight, knowledge of the pensions sector and focus on clear, accessible communication, he made an important contribution.

“He never shied away from difficult topics and, where necessary, brought a critical edge to discussions. Joep is also a true bon vivant with great flair. We are deeply grateful for his contribution and will miss both his substantive input and his humour and engaging personality on the board."
