Irish managed pension funds return 2.6% over November

Irish managed pension funds returned 2.6 per cent over the month of November, according to Rubicon Investment Consulting.

The best performer was Zurich Life with a 3.2 per cent return, while Merrion Investment Managers delivered the worst with 1.8 per cent.

Over the year to date, managed pension funds have returned 19.6 per cent on average. Returns for the year to date ranged from 22.5 per cent (Zurich Life) to 15.5 per cent (Setanta Asset Management).

Over the past twelve months the average fund return was 12.4 per cent. Davy Asset Management top the table over the past year with a return of 14.8 per cent, while Setanta Asset Management produced the lowest return at 9.4 per cent.

The average managed fund return has been 7.5 per cent per annum over the past three years. The five-year average return is healthy, at 7.4 per cent per annum. Irish group pension managed fund returns over the past 10 years have been a strong 9.5 per cent per annum on average.
