Impax Asset Management has appointed Magnus Kristensen as head of Nordics.
Based in Denmark, he joins from Federated Hermes, where he was head of Nordics, managing client relationships and driving new business among institutional investors across the region.
Prior to this he held similar roles at Jyske Bank and Neuberger Berman and has over two decades of experience in business development and client service.
As head of Nordics, Kristensen will be responsible for business development and providing an excellent service to Impax clients based in the region. He reports to Paul Voûte, co-head, client group, Impax. Viktoria von Kunow, who previously led Impax’s business development activities in the region, will now focus on clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Kristensen's appointment comes during a period of growth for Impax in the Nordics. In July 2024 it completed its acquisition of Danish fixed income manager, Absalon Corporate Credit. Formerly part of the Formuepleje Group, Absalon serves European institutional investors and Danish high-net-worth individuals. Impax has operated in the region since 1999 when it was asked by a Danish bank to design and manage an environmental fund investing in listed equities.
Kristensen and the four portfolio managers from Absalon will be based in Impax’s new Danish office in Køge, near Copenhagen.
