Finland’s Elo appoints compliance director and internal audit director

Finnish earnings-related pension provider, Elo, has appointed Taina Antila as compliance director and member of the management team, and Tuukka Lahkela as director of internal audit.

Antila is responsible for the company's risk management and compliance. She has previously worked in numerous companies in the financial sector and has been responsible for developing compliance activities, among other things.

“Taina is a very experienced insurance and compliance professional. It's great to have such an experienced expert in charge of developing Elo's risk management and compliance,” Elo CEO, Carl Pettersson, said.

Lahkela has been appointed as Elo's new director of internal audit. Lahkela will move to Elo from the position of Business Finland's director of internal audit. He has previously worked in internal auditing and risk management at Nordea and before that at the Financial Supervisory Authority.

“Tuukka Lahkela's diverse expertise and experience help us to develop Elo's internal audit practices as part of the reform of governance, management system and risk management,” Pettersson said.
