Dutch PostNL Pension Fund elects two members to accountability body

The Dutch pension fund for workers at PostNL has announced that Josette de Goede and Irene Hendrickx have been elected as members of its accountability body.

Goede was elected on behalf of the pensioners, and Hendrickx on behalf of the employees; both will take up their new roles on 1 July.

Goede has worked in professional, managerial and supervisory roles (in both the private and public sectors) for around 50 years, while Hendrickx is a strategic programme manager at PostNL.

The fund held elections in May and June for its accountability body, and a total of 8,795 pensioners voted, a turnout of 25 per cent. The pensioners were allowed to vote for five candidates, and Goede received the most votes, with 2934.

The employees, meanwhile, were allowed to vote for six candidates, and a total of 1,517 employees voted, a turnout of 9 per cent. Hendrickx was voted for 555 times.

Due to elections of new members, Paul Langeveld and Mariëtte Wolters will depart the accountability body on 30 June. Langeveld served on the accountability body on behalf of the pensioners, and Wolters served on behalf of the employees.
