Denmark’s AP Pension returns DKK 12.1m on investments in H1 2026

Denmark’s AP Pension returned DKK 12.1m on its investments in the first half of 2026, up from DKK 2.8m in H1 2025, its half-year results have shown.

AP Pension's total premium payments amounted to DKK 11.8bn in H1 2026, an increase of 4.8 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, current premiums, including SUL – sickness and accident insurance – increased by 7.2 per cent to DKK 6bn.

AP Pension came out of H1 2026 with a profit of DKK 276m after tax compared to DKK 257m in 2025, with total profit in sickness and accident amounting to DKK 341m.

The half-year results also reported that in May 2026, the pension company allocated DKK 277m in AP Loyalty Bonus to customers' pension savings, bringing the total allocated through this scheme since 2017 to DKK 1,958m.

Commenting, AP Pension CEO, Bo Normann Rasmussen, said: “We continue to grow in current payments and deliver a good bottom line. This gives us a strong starting point, while at the same time we are carrying out a comprehensive renewal of AP Pension.”

The first half of 2026 also saw the pension company launch AP FlexPension for new customers, and by the end of June, over 7,000 customers had signed up.

AP FlexPension aims to provide companies and employees with new opportunities to adapt payments, disbursements, savings, and insurance to different phases of life, allowing the scheme to evolve to keep pace with customers’ needs throughout their working lives.

"More than 7,000 new customers in six months is a strong start for AP FlexPension. This shows that companies and employees are looking for a pension scheme with greater flexibility and better opportunities to adjust their pension during life," Rasmussen said.

At the same time, AP Pension has begun the gradual migration of existing customers to the new business system and AP FlexPension. The roll-out is being carried out in stages with a focus on quality, stable operations and a good customer experience.

"Our new business system must be felt by customers. AP FlexPension is the first concrete result and gives us a completely different starting point for developing new solutions faster that make the pension more flexible and relevant throughout working life," Rasmussen continued.
