Denmark’s AP Ejendomme hires Henrik Steenstrup as CEO

Danish pension company AP Pension has announced that Henrik Steenstrup has been appointed as chief executive officer (CEO) of AP Ejendomme, AP Pension's real estate business.

Steenstrup replaces Peter Olsson, who resigned by mutual agreement between AP Ejendomme’s Board of Directors and Olsson.

Olsson has served as CEO since 2016 and was replaced by AP Ejendomme chief financial officer, Helle Grosser, who will continue to serve as acting CEO until Steenstrup takes up his post on 1 October.

He joins from CPH City & Port Development, where he has served as head of property since 2019 and, in this role, has been responsible for the property division, including major development projects.

He has also held senior roles at Nordea Real Estate Investment, Nordea Investment Management, Nordea Capital Markets & Savings, LD Equity and Danske Bank.

Commenting on the news, AP Pension CEO and AP Ejendomme deputy chairman of the Board of Directors, Bo Normann Rasmussen, said: “AP Ejendomme plays an important role in AP Pension’s overall investment activities. It has therefore been crucial to find a managing director with in-depth property expertise, commercial acumen and investment experience.

"We have found that profile in Henrik Steenstrup. He has a strong background in both the property market and the financial sector, and we look forward to welcoming him."

Adding to this, Steenstrup commented: “AP Ejendomme is a major player in the Danish property market with a strong portfolio and an important role in creating long-term value for AP Pension’s customers. I am looking forward to leading the company and working together with the talented staff, the board of directors and our partners on its further development.”
