CNAV elects Patricia Bocciarelli as chair of the board of directors

The Board of Directors of the French National Pension Insurance Fund (Caisse Nationale de l’assurance retraite - CNAV) has unanimously elected Patricia Bocciarelli as chair of the Board of Directors at its board meeting on 4 March.

Bocciarelli is a technical executive in the automotive sector, and was previously a member of the CNAV Board of Directors during the previous term of office as leader of her organisation.

Bocciarelli has been general secretary of Force Ouvrière Métaux Région Parisienne since 2021, federal secretary of the Force Ouvrière Métaux Federation since 2020. She is also chair of the social commission “IRP AUTO”.

The Board of Directors meeting, which was attended by Minister of Labour and Solidarity, Jean-Pierre Farandou, also saw Laurent Boulangeat, appointed by the Union des Entreprises de Proximité as vice president, and more than 50 per cent of the members of the board were replaced.

In her speech to the Board of Directors, Bocciarelli said: "Our role is not only to manage, but to anticipate, evaluate, and guide. Retirement is not just a budget line item; it is a right and a form of security. It is recognition of a lifetime of work. Preserving its solidity and credibility is a collective imperative. I want our governance to be demanding and constructive, strategic and pragmatic."
