BlueBay Asset Management appoints Matthias Hartmann

RBC Global Asset Management’s specialist fixed income manager, BlueBay Asset Management (BlueBay), is strengthening its client relationship team in Munich, Germany, with the appointment of Matthias Hartmann as director, business development for Germany and Austria, reporting into Viola Patock, head of Northern Europe.

The appointment of Matthias follows Michael Wolfram who joined in June as head of institutional sales Germany and Austria, and reinforces BlueBay’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the Northern Europe region.

Before joining BlueBay, Hartmann was working for BlackRock in their office in Munich where he was an account manager for their institutional clients. Prior to this he has held roles at PIMCO and NORD/LB Asset Management. He is a CFA Charterholder and has a master’s degree in business administration and management from Georg–August University of Göttingen, in Germany.
