The Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, Sport and Integration has appointed Anselm Wagner as deputy board member of Germany’s largest public pension group, Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK).
Wagner has more than 25 years of experience in investment and securities management and is a qualified banker.
His entire professional career has been linked with the Bavarian Pension Fund, where he has held various management positions since 1999.
Since 2018, he has held the role of head of securities management, having responsibility for the strategic and operational management of securities investments.
Before this, he served as head of the equities and alternative investments department and head of the alternative investments unit.
BVK said that with his in-depth expertise in strategic and tactical capital investment, as well as his leadership experience, Wagner brings the ideal qualifications to his new role as deputy member of the Executive Board.
He took up his new position on 1 July 2026.
