AkademikerPension appoints Tobias Bornakke as board chair

Tobias Bornakke has been elected as the new chairman of Denmark’s AkademikerPension.

The decision was made at a board meeting last Thursday, 23 January, where Henrik Priergaard was appointed vice chairman.

Bornakke, who has served as vice-chair of the board for the past three years, will replace Janne Gleerup, who has been elected chair of DM and decided to step down from AkademikerPension.

"I would like to thank Janne Gleerup for a good and close collaboration, where we, together with the rest of the board, have put AkademikerPension in a position as a well-run pension fund and a frontrunner on the responsible agenda,” Bornakke said.

AkademikerPension CEO, Jens Munch Holst, has worked with Tobias Bornakke on the board for the past seven years and with Henrik Priergaard for the past three and looks forward to an even closer collaboration.

"Recent years have included a new core system, AlfaPension and a new responsible healthcare scheme, and I'm sure that Tobias' enormous experience, commitment and wealth of ideas combined with Henrik's strong competencies from the financial world will give us a highly competent partnership for the benefit of our members," he said.
