AP Pension appoints Steen Michael Erichsen as partner director

Denmark’s AP Pension has appointed Steen Michael Erichsen as partner director, effective 16 March 2026.

Erichsen has over three decades of experience in the pension and insurance industry. He held roles as CEO and COO at Velliv, as well as other positions at Nykredit Østifterne Forsikring, Tryg Forsikring and The Danish Insurance Academy.

In his time at Velliv, he played a crucial role in its development, including the buyout from Nordea and the transformation into a customer-owned company with increasing payments and market share.

In his new role, he will report to AP Pension chief commercial officer, Janni Bové Schou, and has been hired as part of AP Pension’s goal to strengthen its strategic sales efforts.

Commenting on the appointment, Schou said: “Steen Michael brings significant experience from the pension industry as well as relevant growth and business development results on his CV.

"We have strengthened AP Pension's sales force over the past few years, and Steen will be an important player in the team that will realise our growth ambitions.”

Adding to this, Erichsen said: “I look forward to becoming part of AP Pension and contributing to the continued development of the business.

"With a strong commercial foundation and a clear strategic direction, AP Pension is in a good position, and I look forward to working with the organisation to strengthen growth and partnerships.”
