The board of AMF (AMF Tjänstepension AB) has appointed Tomas Flodén as AMF’s new CEO, taking up the position on 1 January 2025.
Flodén is currently CEO of AMF Fonder and head of asset management. He has previously been chief of staff and deputy CEO at AMF, and chief economist at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. Flodén is an economist with a background in financial economics and has worked at AMF since 2009.
“We on the board are very pleased that Tomas Flodén has accepted the responsibility as CEO of AMF. He has long and solid experience from AMF, the pension industry and the financial sector. AMF is today a very well-run and strong company and with Tomas as the new CEO, we ensure that AMF will have both the strength needed to continue to develop and be at the forefront, but also the continuity needed to continue to deliver good pensions to Sweden's workers,” AMF board chair, Lars Wedenborn, said.
Flodén succeeds Johan Sidenmark, who has been CEO of AMF since 2012. Katarina Romberg will replace Tomas Flodén as CEO of AMF Fonder and head of asset management. Approval of the appointment as CEO is subject to the usual review by Finansinspektionen.
