The Finnish Pension Alliance (Tela) has announced that its CEO, Suvi-Anne Siimes, will step down from her position at her own request and leave the organisation in the summer of 2026.
Siimes, who took up the role as Tela CEO in 2011 and made the decision to resign in September this year, said she wants to live a more “relaxed life and spend more time with my spouse and loved ones” - something she said is not possible in “such a demanding position”.
“This has been important and meaningful work, and Tela is a workplace that I can definitely recommend. Tela's organisation is in good shape, with a clear strategy and skilled and friendly people to implement it,” she said.
Siimes added that she does not intend to continue in similar operational roles in other organisations and instead plans to start her own company and “do some work on my own account, if my skills can be used”.
However, she emphasised that her “ultimate purpose” is to make time for a calmer pace of life, noting that now is the “right time” for both herself and Tela to make this decision.
Tela’s Board of Directors has launched the search process for Siimes’s successor, led by Odgers Berndtson partner, Piia-Noora Kauppi.
