The Finnish Pension Alliance (Tela) has appointed Aino Juurikkala as social media strategist, effective 1 September.
Juurikkala holds a master’s degree in business administration and joins Tela from Suomen Ekonomit, where she has worked as a communications and marketing specialist since 2021.
The role of social media strategist is a new, permanent position at Tela.
In her new role, Juurikkala will be responsible for building social media visibility for Tela and its staff and ensuring that messages relating to the occupational pension sector reach current and future decision-makers, as well as younger target groups.
She will also make strategic channel and format choices for Tela and summarise complex content from the occupational pension sector into engaging social media content.
Commenting on the appointment, Tela director of communications and public relations, Mikko Koskinen, said: “We were looking for a versatile social media specialist with previous experience and expertise in strengthening the organisation’s social media presence as a whole.
“Aino was the only candidate who possessed this expertise and the right attitude. The social media strategist’s role will help us reach younger target groups and contribute to our goal of restoring young people’s trust in the pension system.”
Adding to this, Juurikkala said: “I’m really excited about this new role. It’s wonderful to be able to develop a new social media strategy for Tela and, through it, make employment pension topics more accessible. In particular, I’m looking forward to working with Tela’s experts to create bold and impactful social media content.”
