State Street IM makes three senior appointments to European client coverage business

State Street Investment Management (State Street IM) has made three senior appointments within its European client coverage business.

Alistair Byrne has been appointed as head of UK & Ireland client coverage, Gerben Lagerwaard as head of northern Europe & Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH) client coverage, and Francesco Lomartire as head of southern Europe client coverage.

In their new roles, Byrne, Lagerwaard, and Lomartire will lead client coverage across their respective regions, with a focus on driving growth, strengthening collaboration across teams and channels, and delivering clients a coordinated experience.

Commenting on the appointments, State Street IM head of Europe client coverage group, Marie-Anne Heeren, said: “These appointments reflect the tremendous depth of talent across our European business.

“Alistair, Gerben, and Francesco are outstanding leaders who have deep expertise and knowledge – and this expertise in turn underpins our approach to client servicing. These roles will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our business across Europe.”

These appointments and this new regional leadership structure intend to utilise talent within the firm better and support clients as their needs grow more complex and specific.
