The Swedish Pensions Agency (SPA) has appointed Anders Sandin as head of the Housing and Income Support Department, effective 1 October.
Sandin currently works as a business area manager at the Swedish Government Service Centre, where he is responsible for customer relations and the service areas of payroll, finance and consulting.
He has extensive experience of senior positions within the civil service and previously held managerial roles at the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority and the Swedish Transport Administration, among others.
Commenting on the appointment, SPA director general, Anna Pettersson Westerberg, said: “It is a great pleasure to welcome Anders to the SPA. Anders has extensive and solid experience of administrative operations and of working to achieve customer satisfaction.
“I look forward to working with Anders, alongside the staff and managers in the Housing and Income Support Department, to continue developing our operations.”
Adding to this, Sandin commented: “In my current role, I have worked closely with the SPA on pay-related issues. The agency has an excellent reputation, and I can certainly attest to that. I am now looking forward to getting to grips with my new role and meeting all my new colleagues this autumn.”
