PFZW invests in 22 care complexes for elderly

Dutch pension fund, PFZW, has made a new investment in 22 care complexes in the Netherlands with a total of 480 care homes.

The homes are suitable for elderly people with dementia. The first two complexes, in Culemborg and Hardenberg, were completed in August 2023. The other locations will be completed elsewhere in the Netherlands in 2024 and the first half of 2025. The come homes have low fees, so that those with a small pension can live there.

“There is a major shortage of suitable homes, including for people with dementia. The construction of these homes promotes flow on the housing market. In addition, the homes all meet high sustainability requirements and the energy costs of the residents are therefore very low. All homes become the property of the Amvest Living & Care Fund,” PFZW stated.

The fund also noted that it was a double win in terms of investments.

“It is nice that so many elderly people receive a beautiful home with tailor-made care from care providers that build up a pension with PFZW. Moreover, the return on this investment benefits the pension of employees who work in the healthcare and welfare sector.”
