Jesper Bjerre resigns as Danica’s COO

Denmark's Danica has announced that its chief operating officer (COO), Jesper Bjerre, has resigned, with Danica CEO, Mads Kaagaard, taking responsibility for the COO organisation until the new COO takes up the post.

Bjerre’s successor has been appointed and will take up the post before the end of the year, and the appointment will be announced later this year.

Since 2019, Bjerre has worked for Danica, most recently as COO and a member of Danica’s Executive Board.

Commenting on the news, Kaagaard said: “Bjerre has played a very important role at Danica, and we greatly appreciate his contributions, both as a colleague and as a leader.

“However, after careful consideration, I have decided that going forward we need a new profile with different skills and experience in the COO role. That is why Jesper has stepped down.”
