OAK appoints seven board members

Switzerland’s federal pensions supervisory body, the Oberaufsichtskommission (OAK), has been strengthened following the addition of seven members to its board, whose duties will be to ensure that all Swiss pension schemes abide by the same rules. The pensions body will commence its supervision at the beginning of next year.

Vera Kupper Staub, André Dubey, Peter Leibfried, Thomas Hohl, Catherine Pietrini, Dieter Sigrist and Aldo Ferrari are the new board members.

Staub will act as vice-president for the supervisory body working closely alongside Pierre Triponez and has also worked at Swiss pension consulting firm ECOFIN.

Liebfried currently works as executive at the Institute for Accounting, Controlling and Auditing at Saint-Gall University and Pietrini led occupational pension planning at Pittet Associés.

Dieter Sigrist represents the employers’ union and Ferrari is a representative of trade union Travail Suisse.
