Appointments Update - 29 August

AXA Investment Managers has announced the appointment of Katrin Boström as head of Nordic sales. She will be responsible for building on the company’s presence in the region. Prior to joining AXA Investment Managers, Boström worked as executive director, head of sales and business development for Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Stockholm.

Karl Waltré has joined Mirae Asset Global Investments Group as head of the Nordic region. Waltré will take over responsibility for Mirae Asset’s existing clients in the Nordic region and will seek to develop new business in the wholesale and retail channels. Waltré joins from Aviva Investors where he worked as business development director and was responsible for building relationships and managing sales with financial institutions, institutional clients and consultants in the Nordic countries and Baltic states.

First State Investments has announced the appointment of Mario Maia as senior analyst for its global resources team based in Sydney. Maia will focus on the soft commodities sector and joins the company from Merrill Lynch Australia where he worked as research vice president and a research associate. He also worked for Martin Place Securities in Australia as a research analyst covering resources, energy and materials.

RCM has announced the appointment of Marissa Blankenship as sustainability research analyst. She will focus on conducting global sustainability research on equities. Blankenship joins from Truestone Impact Investment Management in Belgium.
