Appointments Update

Patrick Chong has been appointed as head of financial institutions business development in Singapore for Aviva Investors. He will be responsible for the development and implementation of the firm’s business development strategy for the financial institutions sales channel in Singapore and Asia Pacific. Chong joins from Fullerton Fund Management where he held the role of senior vice president, business development.

Pictet Asset Management has announced the appointment of Tony Andersson as an investment manager in the Sector & Theme equities team. Andersson joins from UBS where he worked for nine years and has spent the last six years focusing on global technology and telecommunication stocks.

iShares has announced the appointments of Matt Mack as head of strategic accounts and Stephen Cohen as head of investment strategies in EMEA. Mack will oversee and coordinate iShares’ relationships with banking and insurance groups across the region. He most recently worked as head of UK and Nordic third party distribution at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Cohen will manage iShares’ EMEA investment strategies and insights team, which produces analysis, insight and collateral on iShares’ funds and solutions. He joins from Nomura where he was global head of equity linked strategy.

Nina Shapiro has joined Man Group as a non-executive director. Prior to this, she was vice president, finance and treasurer of the International Finance Corporation. Shapiro has also worked as director of project finance and guarantees at the World Bank where she developed the Bank’s partial risk guarantee instrument in project finance and the partial credit guarantee in capital market transactions.

Al Denholm has joined BlackRock’s Multi-Asset Client Solutions (BMACS) team as managing director and regional head of BMACS’ business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Denholm will oversee client strategy, solutions portfolio management, active asset allocation and research, and business management. He joins from ING Investment Management (ING IM) where he was responsible for equity research and portfolio management in Europe, Japan and Australia and trading activities for all asset classes in Europe.
