PFZW launches new member tool

Members of Dutch pension fund Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn (PFZW) will be able to get a better insight into their financial future via a new tool: the Future Explorer.

The tool is aimed at giving members a better overview of their future financial situation and the impact of for instance early retirement or working fewer hours.

The Future Explorer is developed by pension provider PGGM and has been available to a select group of PFZW members since the beginning of March. Based on their experiences the tool will be improved further. The Future Explorer is expected to be made available to other members of the fund from May onwards.

The tool enables members and their partners to collect all their personal financial information within five minutes in a secure environment. The data comes from the Tax Office, the Dutch digital pension overview mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl) and the Employee Insurance Agency.

Furthermore, members will get some questions and choices about their desired retirement. The impact of these choices is automatically calculated and displayed, together with an explanation. Besides the retirement savings, the tool also takes other savings, mortgage payments and other income into account. This way, members should get a clear indication of their financial situation.
